The Adler Trumpf Junior Cabriolet was a stylish and compact convertible produced by the German manufacturer Adlerwerke between 1935 and 1941. As a part of the Trumpf Junior series, it combined the practicality of a small family car with the elegance of open-top motoring.
Under the hood, the Cabriolet featured a 995 cc inline 4-cylinder side-valve engine, delivering approximately 25 PS (18 kW) at 4,000 rpm. This setup allowed the car to reach a top speed of around 90 km/h (56 mph). Power was transmitted to the front wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission, which was operated via a column-mounted lever . The body styles of the Trumpf Junior Cabriolet were crafted by various coachbuilders, including Ambi-Budd and Karmann.
Initially, the bodies were constructed with a timber frame covered in synthetic leather. However, by 1936, Adler transitioned to offering all-steel bodies, known as "Jupiter" bodies, supplied by Ambi-Budd of Berlin . This shift improved durability and aligned with the industry's move towards more robust construction methods.
