Nova Totius Terrarum Orbis Tabula by Frederik de Wit, c. 1660, is a grand double-hemisphere world map from the Dutch Golden Age. Its engraved design includes sailing ships, celestial diagrams, cartouches, and allegorical border scenes representing continents and cultures. The aged tones and dense detail give it the character of a monumental historic wall map.
Frederik de Wit was an Amsterdam cartographer, engraver, and publisher known for elegant atlases and decorative maps.
