Two Mules for Sister Sara is a 1970 American-Mexican Western film directed by Don Siegel. Set during the French Intervention in Mexico, it stars Clint Eastwood as Hogan, a rough-and-tumble American mercenary who gets mixed up with a nun named Sister Sara, played by Shirley MacLaine. When Hogan rescues Sara from what appears to be a brutal attack, they form an uneasy alliance and set off on a perilous journey to help a group of Mexican revolutionaries. The film was released in the United States on June 16, 1970.
