Sunflowers by Vincent van Gogh, painted in 1888, is an oil-on-canvas still life from his Arles period. This version shows a vase of sunflowers in varied stages of bloom, set against a near-monochrome yellow background and tabletop. The restricted yellow palette, thick impasto, and curling petals make the flowers feel both radiant and fragile. Van Gogh created the sunflower series to decorate the Yellow House and to welcome Paul Gauguin.

Vincent van Gogh was a Dutch Post-Impressionist painter known for vivid color, expressive line, and energetic brushwork.
