"Batman" is a 1966 American superhero film based on the popular DC Comics character. Released in the United States on July 30th, 1966, it was directed by Leslie H. Martinson and stars Adam West as Batman and Burt Ward as Robin. The dynamic duo face a quartet of their most notorious foes – the Joker, the Penguin, the Riddler, and Catwoman – who have teamed up to take over the world.
The film is a campy and colorful adaptation of the comic book, embracing the lighthearted and humorous tone of the 1960s "Batman" television series.
