"Forbidden Planet" is a 1956 science fiction film directed by Fred M. Wilcox. Starring Walter Pidgeon, Anne Francis, and Leslie Nielsen, the film follows a starship crew in the 23rd century that investigates the fate of a colony on the distant planet Altair IV.
