"The Monarch of the Glen" is an iconic oil painting completed in 1851 by English artist Sir Edwin Landseer. The artwork portrays a majestic red deer stag set against the backdrop of the Scottish Highlands, capturing the grandeur and wild beauty of Scotland's natural landscape. Originally commissioned as part of a series of three panels intended for the Palace of Westminster, the painting was never installed there due to disputes over payment.
