The Adler Trumpf Junior Cabrio-Limousine was a distinctive variant of the Trumpf Junior series produced by Adlerwerke between 1934 and 1941. This model combined the practicality of a two-door sedan with the elegance of a convertible, featuring a foldable canvas roof that allowed for open-air driving. Initially, the Cabrio-Limousine was constructed with a timber frame covered in synthetic leather. However, by 1936, Adler transitioned to offering all-steel bodies, known as "Jupiter" bodies, supplied by Ambi-Budd of Berlin. This shift improved durability and aligned with the industry's move towards more robust construction methods.
Under the hood, the Cabrio-Limousine was powered by a 995 cc inline 4-cylinder side-valve engine, delivering 25 PS at 4,000 rpm. This setup enabled a top speed of approximately 90 km/h (56 mph). The vehicle featured a front-engine, front-wheel-drive layout and was equipped with a 4-speed manual transmission without synchromesh. Its compact dimensions and independent suspension system contributed to a comfortable ride, making it suitable for both city and country driving.
