Léonetto Cappiello, an Italian-French artist, is often regarded as the father of modern advertising posters. Active in the early 20th century, he revolutionized commercial art with bold colors, dynamic compositions, and striking figures that grabbed attention instantly. His innovative approach replaced the detailed, decorative style of earlier posters with simplified, high-contrast imagery that made brands memorable at a glance. "Café Martin", created around 1908, is a prime example of Cappiello’s signature style.
