King Kong, first released in 1933, was co-directed by Merian C. Cooper and Ernest B. Schoedsack. This iconic monster movie starred Fay Wray, Robert Armstrong, and Bruce Cabot. A film crew travels to a remote island where they encounter Kong, a giant ape who is captured and brought to New York City as an exhibit.
